November is Diabetes Awareness Month
Did you know pets can develop diabetes just like humans? Lethargy, excessive thirst and frequent urination are signs that your pet may have diabetes. While Diabetes is not curable, it is manageable and early detection is important.
Pet diabetes is quite common — anywhere between 1 in 100 to 1 in 500 pets develops diabetes. Talk to one of our veterinarians about common warning signs of diabetes.
During the month of November, MCAH is offering a free bag of Purina DM or DCO for any patients newly diagnosed with diabetes or for any diabetic patient not already on DM or DCO.
During the month of November, MCAH will donate $2 from every exam to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
