Location & Hours

Mount Carmel Animal Hospital is located in the “Hereford Zone” of Northern Baltimore County. We are in close proximity to Southern York County, PA, and Carroll and Harford Counties in Maryland. In 2005 Mount Carmel Animal Hospital moved from an old farmhouse to a new, state-of-the-art building that greatly expanded our facilities and services available to clients. We are still located in the center of Monkton, MD and in the heart of the Hereford community.

MCAH is easily accessible from York Road (MD 45) and from Exit 27 Mount Carmel Road on the I-83 Baltimore-Harrisburg Expressway.

In the event of a medical emergency, an MCAH doctor is on call and available to existing clients to provide guidance by phone until 11 PM daily.

If your pet is having a potential medical emergency after hours, call us at 410-343-0200 and follow the prompts to reach the doctor on call until 11 PM. Non-emergency calls will be returned the next business day. After 11 PM, please contact your closest animal emergency facility for assistance.

We are closed 12:30 – 2:30 PM on the second Wednesday of each month for staff meetings and training. We are committed to continuing education for all of our team members in order to better serve you and your pet. A doctor is on call during staff meetings.
