Surgical and Dental Procedures
For the health and well being of all animals admitted as patients to our hospital, we require that pets have the following immunizations up to date:
- Dogs: Canine Distemper/Parvovirus (DHLPP) and Rabies
- Cats: Feline Distemper (FVRCP) and Rabies
We do ask you to bring records of these vaccinations. If you are not sure about your pet’s current vaccination status, please feel free to ask one of our staff members to check your pet’s health records.
Certain medical procedures may require your pet to have fasted from food, water or medications prior to arrival at our hospital for their procedure.
In general no food or water after 10:00 p.m. the night before surgery If your pet is a diabetic, please ask for special instructions regarding the 24 hour period before the procedure. Diabetic pets have special needs prior to a surgical procedure.
