At Mount Carmel Animal Hospital, the health, safety, and well-being of our patients, staff, and the community has always been our highest priority. As many of you are aware, the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation is evolving daily and requires us to make changes to daily life and familiar ways of doing things. We are working hard to ensure the health and safety of all members of our community, and therefore have developed the protocols and policies detailed below in response to the current pandemic. We encourage our team and our clients to follow the CDC recommendations outlined on their website: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html.

Safety First

Stay at Home: Please remain at home if you are not feeling well or have had possible exposure to COVID-19. If you are not feeling well, showing signs of illness related to COVID-19, are being tested for COVID-19, or tested positive for COVID-19, please remain at home. If you have had contact with someone who is showing signs of illness, who is being tested, or has tested positive for COVID-19, please remain at home. Symptoms include: Fever, shortness of breath, dry cough, fatigue.

Wear a mask: Per CDC recommendations, we ask that clients wear a mask during all face to face interactions. This includes even brief interactions such as picking up medications and food, and during the hand off and return of your pet. Our team members are wearing masks throughout their work days to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Curbside Service: At this time, our hospital is closed to clients. This will enable us to practice safe social distancing in an effort to protect all members of the MCAH community, clients and team members alike. This will also simplify contact tracing in the event that a member of our community does become infected with COVID-19.
